Cold, snow, blisters, moist and temperature variations are just some of the characteristics of winter. Unfortunately, all these winter signs affect the way you should regard digital photography. In cold winters, if you want to go out on a digital photography trip, you need to make sure you are properly dressed and warm enough, to avoid thinking about your frozen toes and ruin the picture. if you plan on shooting pictures of winter sports of wonderful snowy mountains, wear something that won’t make you remember how cold it really is It’s better to wear several stratus of clothes because the inside temperature will be maintained at constant values for a longer time. Lastly, do not forget that a huge amount of heat is lost in the head area, so forget fancy hairstyles and wear a warm hat.
Wear some boots that are water resistant and also take a pair of warm gloves with you. But when choosing your gloves, take ones that allow you free movement. It’s impossible to push the tiny buttons on your digital photography camera with frozen fingers, but try pushing them with large ski gloves. It might be fun, but also annoying, trying that. If you don’t have any gloves that can offer both warmth and free movement, then simply take them off only in the brief moments you actually need to push the buttons. If you are taking pictures of snowy landscapes, do not let the camera auto detect the setting. Taking snow pictures must be done manually because snow can end up grey if the camera darkens it to emphasis the subject.
