One incredible thing about fine art nature photography is all that it can inspire . You see a photo of a majestic vista and it is as if you’re really there - you seem to be a part of it - you are in awe of its wonder . And this is exactly the impression photographers really want to instill in viewers who see their photos .
The impression that photography of nature make on every individual is as subjective as the photography itself . If three people look at the same fine art photograph , the impressions they have may be quite different . A bad impression may be made on one person from the photography, a great impression on another and a totally different impression on the third person .
Take a look at a photograph of a duck . One person may see it and quickly makes a comment on the lovely color of the wings . Perhaps how the reflection of the duck is clear and crisp that it seems there’s another duck right there . Those drops of water that cling to the duck looks like small diamonds lying on the brown feathers of the duck . Now, the second person looks at the fine art nature photo of the duck and comments that the water looks dirty and that the duck is looking sad. And the third person may simple shrug their shoulders and say … “it’s just a duck.” “so, it’s a photo of a duck.”
Of course, a fine art photographer of nature hopes the photo offers more of an impression than a comment that “it is a duck” and a shrug of the shoulders. But that’s the beauty of how nature photography leaves its impression - open, honest and subjective . For enthusiasts of nature , this type of photography is embedded in their life .
Fine art nature photography lets viewers travel to that place. If you look at a photograph of huge waves breaking on the rocks for awhile, you’ll soon feel like you are right there - you almost feel the breeze on your cheeks, smell the salt water and hear the sounds of the water as it crashes on the rocks . That is the impression nature photography is intended to give .
Fine art nature photographs are incorporated into our lives by hanging them on the wall at home, they are used as screen savers , even centered on the T-shirts we wear with pride . The impression that comes with fine art nature photography - whether indifferent, bad, or good - lets us have an opinion of our own about what we like and don’t like . These photos make an everlasting impression .
